Immetacyte Ltd (Formerly Cellular Therapeutics Ltd) is focused on developing patient specific immunotherapies in the Oncology field, allowing the patient’s own immune system to be harnessed to fight cancers. Specifically, Immetacyte is developing Adoptive Cell Therapy (ACT) and has expertise in manufacturing and engineering of cells in a GMP compliant manner ready for patient treatment. The company has a track record of developing cell therapies with clinical success both for Immetacyte’s own products and commercial sponsors.
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join this early stage SME at a dynamic and exciting time in the evolution of the company and the field. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated person with clinical trial management experience.
The post holder will join Immetacyte’s Clinical Operations Department to support set up and management of early phase clinical trials. Immetacyte is also a partner in the UK Advanced Therapy Treatment Centre (ATTC) programme, which is an UK wide initiative, together with our partners in academia, NHS Trusts and the Biotec industry, that aims to contribute towards developing industrialised clinical pathways to deliver innovative complex therapies. The aim is to transform the system of care by delivering advanced therapies through improved clinical processes and reliable/traceable supply chains ultimately increasing patient access, establishing best practice and improving patient outcome. Greater Manchester represents the largest functional economic area outside of London with a population of 2.7 million and is the only location to combine health and social care under a single devolved budget providing a unique opportunity to deliver this and to understand the Health Economic benefits of advanced therapies.
The post holder will provide administrative and operational support to the Clinical Pathway Programme Manager to set up and deliver cell therapy trials initially in key UK sites with the potential for implementation across more sites nationally and internationally. Your key responsibility is to assist the Clinical Pathway Programme Manager in all stages of the clinical trial development. Through, participation in protocol development, site setup, monitoring through to close down. You will also facilitate communications between Immetacyte, third party service providers, clinical trial sites and local investigators. The post holder would report directly to the Clinical Pathway Programme Manager.
Immetacyte Ltd is based in the UMIC Incubator Building, a facility developed to house early stage biotech companies, with excellent facilities. The post is available immediately and is a permanent position.
The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of experience working in clinical trials of Investigational Medicinal product (CTIMP) in the relevant field in academia or industry. The post holder will be a dedicated, self-motivated individual with a keen interest in delivering complex clinical trials as well as translation of scientific research into novel cell therapies for cancer.
